Grower Engagement & Social Media Specialist, Farmer Advocate

Inès Frazier

Inès supports social media and community engagement at Rooted, where she helps share farmer stories and connect growers with the broader community. With a background in plant and soil sciences and experience working alongside farmers and ranchers, she is passionate about lifting up the voices of land stewards and building connections that strengthen local food systems. Outside of work, Inès finds joy in hiking, swimming, tending her garden, and adventuring with her dog, Bandit. She believes that community, storytelling, and a love of the land are at the heart of creating a more resilient food future.

Q&A with Inès

I couldn’t be stuck on a deserted island without:

Snacks, a good book, and maybe a knife. Because realistically, I’d last about two days before I started negotiating with coconuts like they were my coworkers.

How I want the Rooted team to be perceived:

Like that friend who shows up with snacks, good ideas, and zero judgment. Grounded, approachable, and the type of people farmers are excited to see.

My catchphrase:

“Off to hug a tree.” It works in literally every context, and I will frequently sign off in an email this way🤠

Worst fear:

Running out of snacks in traffic or while traveling. I am not me when I am hangry. I am also afraid of heights, so the thought of having to go up a glass spiral staircase or on rollercoasters makes my knees weak.

My “happy place” is:

Barefoot in the soil, bees buzzing around, sun on my face, with mountain air blowing through my hair and river water making it just a little bit cooler. Basically, a cross between a wellness retreat and a toddler’s mud puddle.

Best part about my job:

Getting to amplify farmer stories. It feels like hosting a talent show where the stars are growing food and healing ecosystems instead of juggling tennis balls.

I’m most proud of:

Bridging worlds that don’t always talk to each other, whether it is farmers, scientists, or everyday eaters. It’s like being a translator, but instead of languages it’s mindsets, nuance, and providing levels of nourishment.
