All major credit and debit cards are accepted for buyers including: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Cash, check, Venmo, or other forms of payment can also be managed and processed via the off-platform payment tool.

We use Stripe to process all payments across the Rooted platform. Stripe deposits payments from your customers directly into the bank account you have linked to your Stripe account. Deposits are made weekly on Fridays.

Stripe’s standard processing fees are 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. Rooted’s standard transaction fee is 5%. You can always find details on our pricing page, but below are total fees per transaction type, including all Stripe processing:

• Electronic Payments (All major credit & debit cards): 7.9% + $0.30

• Off-Platform (Cash, Check, Venmo, Apple Pay, or other form of payment): 5.5% + $0.30

Your Rooted Farmers public profile is a perfect replacement for your website’s e-commerce shop and has basic information about your farm. However, having your own website or social media linked to your profile to provide additional content related to your farm can enhance your marketing and branding efforts and is always helpful for potential new buyers!

If you’d like to sell *and* buy cut flowers, you can submit two different applications using the same login: one to be a grower and one as a wholesale buyer. Our team will review the two applications separately.

Signing up to shop on Rooted is FREE for florists, studio designers, wholesale buyers, and retail shoppers! For floral designers and wholesale buyers, there is a  short application process that takes around 5 minutes to complete. Be sure to select the option 'I'm a florist, studio designer, or floral buyer.' (It helps to have a reseller certificate handy when creating the account).

While we have thousands of wholesale buyers in our network, and we certainly help with advertising, we never promise a built-in network for growers. Buyers value their relationships with their growers, and you know your business and local market best!

As a wholesale buyer, you can request connections from any grower or collective/hub within 250 miles of your location and shop from as many of them as you’d like! At Rooted, we are committed to farm-level transparency. Whether you are shopping from an individual farm or a collective, every listed item for sale includes information about the supplying farm.

Our farmers' growing schedules differ, but by mid-March, we see fresh flowers becoming available across the country. Every grower and collective/hub will have a slightly different schedule on when they typically update their weekly inventory so be sure to check in with them or review the information posted on their public profile page!

If you are a retail buyer (not a florist, designer, or someone re-selling flowers with a valid resale certificate) then you don't need to fill out any application! Just create a username and password here and shop local blooms!
