Member Success & Product Quality Specialist

Rooted Farmers is an agricultural technology startup committed to empowering small and mid-sized farms to transform the world. We provide farms with tools and analytics to support inventory management and sales, while connecting producer hubs and farmers with wholesale and retail buyers in one place.

We are a small but growing team of mission-driven individuals based primarily in the Northeast. We care deeply about farmers, good technology, and getting the little things right! We're currently looking for a Member Success & Product Quality Specialist. This role combines member success and software quality assurance. You'll work directly with our members to answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and provide training and educational resources, while collaborating with our Engineering team to test features and improve the overall user experience. By bringing what you learn from members into the product development process, you'll help us build and fine-tune tools for the farmers, hubs, and businesses we serve.

This is a full-time, remote role with Eastern Time hours and occasional travel required for events or in-person collaboration.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Supporting current and prospective members: answering questions, troubleshooting issues, and helping them use the platform to its full potential
• Reviewing membership applications from both producers and wholesale buyers
• Conducting platform demos, member onboardings, and training for hub leaders and producers
• Developing educational resources, including click-through video tutorials and written training materials
• Testing new and existing platform features to identify bugs and usability issues
• Collaborating across Member Success and Engineering teams to share customer feedback that drives platform improvements
• Occasionally attending industry events and representing the Rooted team, typically during the winter season

Qualifications:

• Experience in customer support, technical troubleshooting, software, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and a problem-solving mindset
• Self-starter with a willingness to contribute ideas and collaborate across teams
• Experience with software testing or quality assurance is a plus but not required
• Undergraduate degree in a related field (environmental studies, agriculture, horticulture, computer science, etc.) is preferred but not required
• Experience working on or with farms, or in the food or floral supply chain, is preferred
