We're unsure just how to classify the color of these stems.  The foliage is a light, velvety gray-green; flowers are pink and relatively minor.

STACHYS byzantina

Similar to Dutch iris; and like them, spurias will push out a second flower on the stem after the first one finishes.

IRIS spuria

Dark red bomb on stiff stems.  Sold in bud stage. A great option for Derby Day!
