Backyard Blooms is a small suburban flower farm with big heart. Located in Fairfield County, Connecticut, we nurture soil, seed and stem. What started as a love of nature and gardening has blossomed into a yard lined with native perennials and brimming with rows of unique bulbs and annuals. All of our blooms are sustainably grown in season for florists, designers, and anyone who delights in flowers.

CARDIOSPERMUM halicacabum
A delicate vine with tiny white flowers and seed pods shaped like small puffed balloons. Expect a few seed pods towards the bottom of the stem, as shown in the full length photo. Adds a lot of interest and movement to a bouquet.
CELOSIA argentea var. plumosa
The color of this Summer Sherbet Celosia ranges from apricot to dusty rose. It has a long vase life and dries beautifully.
HYDRANGEA paniculata Limelight
A premium bunch of giant white and green flower heads on super long stems. Great for installations.

NICOTIANA alata Grandiflora
This variety is called Scentsation, and includes pink, purple, lavender, and white in the mix. Nice fragrance.
ZINNIA elegans Oklahoma Series
This variety has small blooms on long stems in a mix of warm salmon, coral and pink colors.
XEROCHRYSUM bracteatum
Apricot and peach mix.
EUSTOMA grandiflorum Macheriena White
Multiple, single florets on a stem, with a dot of green and yellow in the center. The close-up image shows the general number of florets on a single stem. (Some may have a few less, some may have a few more.)
NICOTIANA langsdorffii Bronze Queen
I'd describe this color as a warm, brownish pink that can also lean toward purple, depending on what you pair with it. If the word "puce" comes to mind, then we speak the same weird color language.
EUSTOMA grandiflorum Megalo White
Large double blooms in a true white with wavy petals.
